Finite and Infinite Games

The GameStop story and the fact that it involves a business called “Gamestop” puts me in mind of the late, great James Carse and his theory of culture. He and I never met in person, but, on some days, I think that the strange work I’m up to (or try to be up to) is so near to what he did that I need not think of this missed opportunity as a complete loss. I honestly think Jim is with me in spirit, on some days. I wrote about him in preparation for his Nashville visit which was cancelled at the last minute. Please read his books.
