I am not in a position to say for sure, but I think of it as something akin to seeing with the curiosity & candor of a child. I think too of the light (eye as lamp of the body) Jesus speaks of in the Sermon on the Mount. I think of Quakers saying there is that of God in everyone. I would not want to speak of holy seeing as listening with heart and not also a psychic process.
