When I stopped working at Christ Presbyterian Academy in 2007 and enrolled at Vanderbilt, I entered a community of thoughtful people I’m still getting to know. One of my favorites was (and is) Dr. David Dault. He’s one of my favorite thinkers in the world. He also hosts an extraordinary podcast. Here’s one that involves me.
I get to talk about my family, my teaching, and my attempt to assume responsibility for the abusive behavior of my elected officials. I also share a favorite story about the Reverend James Lawson, who Dr. Dault and I both came to know at Vanderbilt.
Please listen and share and discuss. And especially…tune in to more of Dr. Dault’s work. It’s as good as it gets.
David Dault is one of my good friends. I always love hearing you both together.
Great stuff. Thank you both! I miss Twitter in so many ways and yet because I am no longer on it I have found the time to listen attentively to this extraordinary podcast and share it with my family and friends. The way you weave Nashville, Radiohead, Julien Baker, bicycling, James Lawson, and the CofC into this really lights me up. And let me know if you get that gig facilitating Midnight Mass to the citizens of Richistan. I'd like to crash that party.
