“There’s a saying among the Bohemians, as the club’s members call themselves: The only place you should be publicly associated with the Grove is in your obituary.”
Essential work from Joshua Kaplan, Justin Elliot, and Alex Mierjeski of ProPublica.
Stay safe, everyone.

Wow. This paragraph gives me major whiplash:
“On the main stage, donors heard from Hall of Fame NFL cornerback Deion Sanders, who was working with the Kochs on anti-poverty programs in Dallas. Another speaker delivered a report card on the group’s political wins large and small: “repealed voter-approved donor disclosure initiative”; “retraction of mining & environmental overreach”; “stopped Albuquerque paid sick leave mandate.” Speaking about anti-poverty programs and then the “report card” topics at the same forum is just mind blowing. As if they can coexist happily ever after. Overturning the Chevron decision should frighten all of us, it’s happening bit by bit in the states like Tennessee anyway, but to do that on the federal level would be devastating. Republican politics are truly destructive of life, the liberty to see our children grow up, and the pursuit of contentment.
