I’m placing before you three items. The first is the lovely image above secured by my friend, Kari Stewart, as I spoke on “White Supremacist Antichrist Poltergeist” as the Greenbelt Festival. I was energized and honored and so grateful for the opportunity to share my thinking on the subject. I’m also pleased to have represented The Smile with that particular t-shirt. A recording of the talk will, I think, be accessible at some point. I’ll mention too that the subject gets a chapter-long treatment in the book I’m hoping everyone reading this will order. I’m referring to We Become What We Normalize. I will have more to say about time at Greenbelt soon.
The second item is time-sensitive. I am speaking, as I often do, at East Brentwood Presbyterian Church tomorrow. I’ll be drawing on the lectionary which includes Matthew 16.21-28 which means we’ll be talking satan and soul. Come on out.
And the third item is the alarming fact that the event at Glendale Baptist which included conversation with Danny Bryant of St. Mary of Bethany and Anna Caudill and music from Flo Paris Oakes and Joey Bradshaw is now publicly viewable. If you have a comment on or a question about any of it, please feel free to weigh in. It’s all pretty great, but let me draw special attention to Joey’s Daniel Johnston cover.
Them’s are all the items. Thank you for hanging in here with me.
Great picture. Happy you got to speak. Forever grateful for you and Anna.
