To journalists inquiring after confirmation concerning reports that Covenant families pulled together to pay for the shooter’s funeral…From where I’m sitting, there's a reluctance to offer further confirmation, because any story that directs public attention to the family themselves endangers their lives further. Catastrophically, in my opinion, our governor and his circle seem to have decided to devote their energies to weaponizing the shooter's writings instead of standing up to the gun cult that runs the Republican party. Having sworn to serve the people of Tennessee, the governor is choosing political ambition over real public service. I hoped for more.
