Happy birthday! I read the first version just a year or so ago, and it really helped expand my recognition of all the places and ways the Spirit speaks and moves. Looking forward to reading this one, too.
I am really looking forward to this book. Preordering the new edition. …I (re)watched the Indigo Girls documentary It’s Only Life after All last night, and it rang with everything you say about Art v empire. So moving. So galvanizing.
I suppose it is possible we are two planes (or drones) passing in the night for lack of a mutual agreement on the valence of "theology." But given your thesis from another work on our universal religiosity, what platform lacks a metaphysics (and with it an implied anthropology) even if it is unstated?
I've written and rewritten a book with a title that can be thought of as a claim for universal religiosity, but I don't think it appropriate to say politics is always theology.
I'm thrilled to be in the cue for the revitalized version. I'm long of the opinion that a goodly portion of church folks can't handle your books and they need to be distributed beyond. I like the title. I hope for this book (star trek reference here) AND BEYOND!
Thank you, Gwen! In a deep sense, I am long of that opinion myself. My people keep breaking my heart over and over again. That said, not *all* my people break my heart over and over again.
Hooray. I can't wait to stock it here. You do such good work, David.
Thank you for all the support, Byron!

I've misplaced the original. I will be glad to acquire the update. But what politics isn't theology?
Thank you, Patrick. Politics that doesn't involve belief in or claims concerning God is not, to my mind, helpfully referred to as theology.
Happy birthday! Looking forward to your new book.
Happy Birthday to you, David.
Happy Birthday, young man! And, Congratulations on the book. Sounds intriguing!
Thank you!
Happy belated birthday!
Thank you! It was pleasant!

Oh my. I wanna see that one. Thank you for the preorder and for letting me know that documentary exists.
