No doubt some will hate it. But having been one of two evangelicals on a fellowship trip with ten (if I remember correctly!)rabbinical students, two imams, two from the Catholic faith and two from mainline Protestant churches, I learned so much from those of a different faith and shared in vulnerable conversations and discussions as we engaged in Holocaust studies through the Museum of Jewish Heritage’s educational program.(We were the pilot seminary group.) Our mix afforded not just head knowledge but letting our guard down to share in study and learning together in a deep way. Belmont can benefit from sharing its mission with those of like mind and good faith (or no faith but to make our world a better place.) Looking forward to hearing and reading good things for Belmont’s future!
