Gwen and I have all kinds of people in common. We’ve moved in and out and among Christian communities in Nashville across two centuries. We’ve prayed and sung and studied and broken bread with some of the very folks who now baptize their abusive positions, in and out of public office, with Bible verses. It’s weird. But it’s also incredibly interesting. This, after all, is Nashville. Please listen and share and tell us what you think.
Thanks for sharing.
My son graduated from a Christian HS a couple years ago, and of course, the ceremony included the pledge to the flag. I stood silently and couldn’t help but notice the six or so international students in his class who appeared to be going along with it all. I wonder what they thought of it.
“Baptize their abusive positions.” Nice.
Looking forward to listening
