Can affirm Leap of Faith is a tremendous film. I’m aware of at least 2 Lipscomb faculty members saw it over the weekend for which I for one was grateful. It remains there for another week. Also available to Belmont faculty and beyond. Highly recommend :)
At the recommendation of Kristen DuMez, we went to see the new documentary film “Leap of Faith” at the Green Hills multiplex. It follows 12 pastors over a 1-year time period as they talk about their theological differences and try to find common ground. With mixed results. The biggest divide they focus on is homosexuality, and it is clearly painful to two of the pastors—one a lesbian UMC pastor and the other a Reformed pastor with two nonbinary children. Worth seeing if it’s still there. I hope it finds an audience. We were the only people there for the 6:30 showing on Thursday.
